On April 25, Mayor Williams was the guest of honor at a UDC-sponsored dinner, even though he tried to close UDC in 1999! Due to his continued involvement in public land privatization, Empower DC called for protesters to counter his message.
When Williams arrived, he visibly screwed up his face on having to walk by the "Rat" signs based on DC rat control posters-the ones showing HIS head on a rat's body.

Williams is the founder and CEO of Public Properties Investment Trust. This is an outfit that is attempting to continue his former work of selling publicly-owned properties to condo builders and other developers.

Empower DC placed this warning on fliers given out- "Fenty and City Council:We will hold you accountable if you let Tony touch our property."

We need to force Williams to retire ALL THE WAY and give up pushing condos into places they are not wanted-and to keep Fenty from following in his footsteps.
