That man with the flare gun and machete that was arrested near the Mayday immigration rally has been identifed by NBC-TV4 as Tyler J. Froatz Jr., age 24. His home, an apartment unit in 5308 8th st NW was stormed by police-who recovered many rifles, several bows, many swords, and what was earlier decribed as a "grenade", now as a replica grenade along with a replica grenade launcher.
It's not the weapons that are so chilling-the list of weapons would not be unusual in many places, nor illegal, wioth the exception of any explosives he might have once carried in his car(a police dog reportedly got a positive hit for explosives, but none were found). The dog's detection of explosive residue may well have been the reason for the raid.
Instead, it's the fact that these weapons were accompained by hate literature advocating shooting immigrants!
One poster showed pregnant women and children being shot in cold blood at the border, along with a caption about "stopping the flood!"
The presence of so much literature advocating murder of immigrants combined with the weapons with which to put this sick fantasy into motion implies that a mass killing may well have been averted by this man's showing himself at the Mayday rally.
